Following the passage of certain large regions of Quebec into the red zone, many Quebec families will have to spend the weekend in confinement. That's no reason to be bored though. Here are some activity suggestions for all ages.

In this autumn season when we already miss the long summer days, it is good to find these happy breaks which without being complicated warm the heart.
The holidays are still far away, the agenda is overloaded and we realize that our good resolutions did not all hold. When patience fails and you need to let go, it's time for a comforting activity.
Do you have a suggestion of comforting activities that help you overcome the occasional little “blues”? Write to us to add to our list of ideas!

Family
We're preparing a hot fondue, raclette or onion soup. A treat that warms the heart and the body. We take the opportunity to dim the lights and add candles. Who said that a nice atmosphere was not conducive to confidences and reconciliations?
We're having a theme meal. We dare to tint our evening with a slightly exotic theme! We have a Hawaiian fiesta in the middle of January or we organize a Mexican evening. Why not borrow books about your chosen country from the library to learn more?
We're having a hot chocolate tasting. This is a delight that has soothing properties for all ages.
We're having a pajama day. All in slippers and pajamas and declare this day “the international day of admitted laziness”.

Solo
Getting yourself a hot stone massage. Or another favorite treatment. The relaxing effect brings a gentle relaxation. Suddenly, we erase the traces of our shattered mood.
We take a long bath (or a long hot shower). We inform the household that we do not want to be disturbed and welocks himself in the bathroom. Some like soap bubbles, others scented candles and sweet oil…or all of them together!
We file photos or do scrapbooking. Sorting out our memories usually transports us to a state of well-being. We remember good times and our heart becomes lighter and lighter.
We're taking a nap. A nap allows us to recharge our "batteries" and be more on the attack the rest of the day. We take advantage of the children's nap to slip into our sheets… The cleaning and everything else can wait.
We knit. Repetitive manual activities help drive away stress and dark thoughts. Once the points have been well learned, it is a relaxing activity that allows us to think about our projects… while making a pretty scarf or an original sweater.
As a couple
Let's take a he althy walk. We go out and admire the beautiful fall colors hand in hand.
We're planning a dream trip. Even if we know we won't be able to travel for a while, it's important to keep making plans and dreaming! We plunge our noses into books and search websites. We make a list of what we would like to do. We travel… still well seated in her living room. One thing is certain, we get away cheaply!
We put the kids to bed early and we cling together. We put the children to bed, we open agood bottle of red and we settle down in front of the fireplace.. or in front of a good Netflix series!
