The large lake at Centre de la nature de Laval turns into a beautiful, well-maintained skating rink during the winter. Families can skate in nature to pleasant background music and relax in a heated reception chalet. Other winter activities are also offered such as cross-country skiing, sliding and downhill skiing. The lock of the Mills

This half-kilometre skating rink is surrounded by the historic setting of Parc de l'Ile-des-Moulins in Terrebonne. Relaxing music accompanies the skaters and the ice is well laid out and safe. Heated changing rooms on site. Free.

The Rideau Canal

Dubbed the largest skating rink in the world, the Rideau Canal Skateway is 7.8 kilometers long and begins just steps from the Canadian Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and takes you on a journey to Dows Lake. Along the way, rest with your family at the rest areas heated by wood fires and enjoy a good snack and hot chocolate. Free access.
