Have you noticed that some colors look better on you than others? Is the color of your clothes in harmony with you?

You are often told that you look sick or tired when you wear this famous orange-colored knit… but that you look radiant with this fuchsia blouse…
The choice of colors for our clothes is based on several factors: the current season, the trend, our personal tastes, our references, our way of life… but mainly: US! The natural colors of our complexion, hair and eyes are important factors that directly influence the colors of our clothes.
Color temperature: warm or cold?
The skin tone is the best clue! The color of our skin is more or less red (hemoglobin), yellow (carotene) or brown (melanin). The amount of each of these colors varies from person to person and is what determines the color of our skin tone. Is the epidermis cold (more bluish pink, gray or olive) or warm (more yellow, peach or golden)? Not sure? Compare the inside of your wrists with another person.
How to differentiate warm and cold colors?
Each color canbe either hot or cold: if we add yellow to green, we obtain the color lime (warm) and if we add blue to green we obtain an emerald green (cold).
Another example: bright scarlet red is a cold color, but if you add yellow it becomes orange, a warm color.

Example of warm colors

Example of cool colors
Hair
Normally natural hair color naturally matches our skin tone. However, this does not mean that highlights or downright another color cannot bring luminosity or a very interesting result. You should know all the same that when we make major color changes, from blond to brown for example, this always involves a change of harmony, therefore a revision of the colors of our clothes.
The bottom line is that the color of our hair often determines the color intensity of our clothes. For example:
If you have a pale complexion, slightly rosy so rather cold and dark brown hair, we can see that your natural complexion is strong so you have to opt for cold colors with a good intensity: fuchsia, emerald green, scarlet, purple, black, cob alt blue.
On the other hand, if you have a cool complexion, but ash blonde hair, your natural skin tone is much less contrasting, and therefore softer. It is then necessary to opt for cold colors of low intensities:pale pink, mint green, orchid, amethyst, sky blue, snow white.
Eyes
They occupy a very small place in choosing the color of our clothes, choosing colors similar to these, there is no mistake!
Of course, not everything should be taken literally. It happens that certain skin tones can wear a few warm and cold colors as much. We must also listen to our little inner voice and follow our instincts when we look in the mirror. If you look good with certain colors, then you have to rely on it!
