History

Did you know that the great story of the Montreal Salon du livre began in 1950? From the very first day initiated by the Book Development Society at the time to the big event that we all know today, many things have evolved over the years. But the passion for the book has remained unchanged. Last year, several thousand people came to meet some 2,000 authors and take part in the various activities organized. Will you be there this year?

Programming

For the 43e edition of the Show, 70 animations broadcast live from the website, 230 authors, 75 animations in the city or virtually and a hundred video clips waiting for you!

If of course you won't be able to have yourbooks this year, you will still be able to enjoy virtual one-on-one with your favorite writers! To do this, all you have to do is consult the list of participants, obtain their book via the Booxie platform and reserve your time slot for your meeting!

Many interviews, conferences, round tables and cabaret shows will be broadcast live from Studio TD and the Studio of the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The topics covered will be varied and will be aimed at all audiences, both the youngest, who will be able to have tales and stories read to them, and the oldest, who will be able to discover the underside of writing a novel and listen the secrets of various authors.

In addition, throughout the metropolis, libraries, publishers and various associations will also be organizing public readings, writing workshops, discussions and virtual meetings for all tastes.

In short, whether you are a Sunday reader or a literature buff, you will certainly find what you are looking for at the next Montreal Book Fair. And what better way to get your kids interested in reading than allowing them to marvel at all it has to offer? With so much to do and see, they won't have time to get bored!

Psst, it's also the perfect time to stock up on wonderful Christmas gift ideas for your loved ones!
