Musical Sundays by Les Petits Violons

Free webcast - Sunday, May 30 at 4 p.m

To close their 56th season, Les Petits Violons invites music lovers to a portrait-concert. A unique formula consisting of a concert portion with Warlock, Suk and Cousineau on the program, and a documentary film portion on the school and the orchestra of Les Petits Violons conducted by Marie-Claire Cousineau. A meeting, virtual and free, on Sunday, May 30 at 4 p.m. in the setting of the Salle Pierre-Mercure of the Center Pierre-Péladeau and in the premises of Les Petits Violons in the heart of Mile End, rue St-Laurent in Montreal.

Encounter with the ecological transition at the Botanical Garden

From May 28 to 30, 2021, reconnect with nature at the Botanical Garden! With its thirty exhibitors, the Petit Rendez-vous horticole invites you to review your know-how and interpersonal skills to help the environment. If you want to know more about urban agriculture, buying local, gardening without pesticides,compost, the development of green spaces, participatory science, the protection of biodiversity and sustainable development, this meeting is for you!

SOS labyrinth

From May 1 to October 31, 2021, the SOS labyrinth activity invites you to pay homage to the historic icon of the Old Port of Montreal: Hangar 16.

Over the past 105 years, the longshoremen of Hangar 16 have been privileged witnesses to many historic moments in Montreal and the St. Lawrence River. Since then, they have been collecting items that remind them of those historic moments, items they affectionately refer to as Longshoremen's Treasures.

Each summer, Medea and Stevie, the two day and night guards of Hangar 16, choose 4 items from among the stevedores' treasures that they challenge you to find. Each of the treasures is linked to historical facts about Montreal, its river and its port, which makes this experience a fun and ultra enriching activity for the whole family.

Forest School on Mount Royal

Forest School is a nature immersion program created by Les amis de la montagne and inspired by the “Forest School” movement. Favoring an educational approach combining adventure, creativity, fun and learning, this program offers parents and children a unique and fun way to get to know the Mount Royal forest and its biodiversity better, to love it and want to protect it.

In order to respect the sanitary measures related to COVID-19, Les amis de la montagne have adapted their offer to offer a new experience to families and children from 0 to 12 years old. Combining interactive online animations, themes and activity books adapted according to age groups, the Forest School spring session will give you all the tools you need to enjoy nature near you or, even better, at Mount Royal.
