Valentine's Day can be celebrated in style, but you can also celebrate it in front of the TV, in pajamas, with a bowl of popcorn when the children are in bed.

To help you choose what will furnish your evening, here are some suggestions available on Netflix, tested and approved.

Jane The Virgin

Do you like amazing twists and dripping love? Jane the Virgin is for you. It is the story of an ambitious and organized young woman who wanted to "preserve her flower" until marriage, as her grandmother had taught her. Unfortunately, by the greatest of luck, she finds herself pregnant.

The series is very funny, really touching and we see couples of all genders and from all walks of life. It's almost impossible not to get attached to the characters.

Virgin River

A childbirth gone wrong, drug trafficking, an old resentment, an abandoned baby… The small village of Virgin River is not lacking in action despite its small size. Mel Monroe, a nice nurse who has just arrived from the city must work hard to be loved there. Fortunately, she likes the owner of the only bar that closes late. (And that he likes it too!).

The Affair

If you haven't listened to The Affair yet, you absolutely have to. This is one of the best series of recent years. It tells the story of Noah Solloway, a married author who fantasizes about his wife's father's neighbor.

So far, nothing new. Except that each episode splits into two. We first see his point of view, quite macho, who imagines her in sexy dresses. Then, we see her point of view, who has problems, barely notices him and is dressed in soft clothes. It's very well done and very "adult" as a series. This is a must see.

Downton Abbey

You already know Downton Abbey, this lavish series featuring British nobles and their entourages. In this Valentine's Day period, and if you haven't finished the series yet, it's a good time to get back to it. Especially since when you have finished it, you will be able to listen to the film which has been available for a few weeks on Amazon Prime.

Dead to me

For those who don't have a very active love life, Dead to me is probably the one to watch. This series features a widow (Christina Applegate) who meets another woman in a supportive therapy session.

Less romantic than my other suggestions, it's still a series that reminds us that an excellent friend can quickly replace a romantic prospect in our daily lives.

And whatever your love situation is right now, I wish you an excellent Saint-Valentine!
