Here are 15 movies to watch for a successful romantic evening.

The notebook (The pages of our love)
2005, Rachel McAdams, Ryan Gosling, 124 mins
Suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Allie lives in a retirement home. Every day, Noah reads her the same book - her own story written by herself. Through this book, we discover her in the 1930s, madly in love with a young man, Noah. They will spend the rest of their lives together, until memory separates them.

The tissue box is absolutely necessary to watch this truly touching and infinitely sad film that shows us the ravages of Alzheimer's disease.
P. S. I love you (P.-S. I love you!)
2008, Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler, 126 mins
Holly Kennedy is completely devastated when her beloved husband Gerry suddenly falls ill and then dies. He does not completely disappear from his life since messages recorded or written before his death are delivered to him regularly. Each message contains instructions to get Holly back on the path to happiness…

This film that takes us between Holly's current life and her memories with Gerry goes straight to theheart. We all say to ourselves that if our lover were to die, we would like that he had the good idea to leave us love letters! And quite frankly, any pretext is good to see Gerard Butler again!
Pretty woman
1990, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, 119 min
A we althy businessman meets a young Beverly Hills prostitute. He decides to invite her to spend the week with him, in his luxurious hotel room, to benefit from his “services”. They will use this week to put their personal lives in order. She will understand that she is worth more than the money earned from her prostitution work, while he will become aware that money does not make him happy.

A modern fairy tale if there ever was one, A Pretty Woman is a romantic comedy classic that stars two actors who are talented…and beautiful!
Twilight
2008, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, 130 min
Isabella Swan, 17, moves in with her father. At the secondary school she will attend, she is intrigued by the behavior of a strange family of two girls and three boys, especially the handsome Edward whom she will fall madly in love with. Small detail: Edward and his "family" are vampires.

Whether you've read the 4 books of Stephenie Meyer or not, the Twilight series movies are very good! And if you haven't read the books yet, themovies will make you want to devour them, that's for sure! Pure and magical love always seduces us!
Love actually
2003, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, 129 min
The story takes place in London, two months before Christmas. In fact, these are ten love stories that we follow until their culmination on Christmas Eve. The film demonstrates that love is everywhere and affects everyone, no matter who you are.

A beautiful film that mixes dramatic situations, humor, tenderness… Like love! And Hugh Grant is at his best here!
The ugly truth
2009, Katherine Heigl, Gerard Butler, 101 min
A TV show producer is forced to hire a pseudo human relations expert who is particularly obnoxious. His advice, however, will allow the producer to find the man of her dreams…

A must see film for the handsome Gerard (again!)! To see a man who gives off 100% testosterone and get some great tips on what men “really” think! To be taken with a grain of s alt, but how good! And I absolutely want to have the producer's black dress!
La Vita è bella (Life is beautiful)
1999, Roberto Benigni, 122 min
The story begins in 1938 when Guido, a man full of cheerfulness and vitality, became a waiter in a large hotel. He falls in love with a mistressschool, Dora who will become his wife and the mother of his son. Then, war broke out, and Guido, who was Jewish, was deported with his son. From a completely dramatic situation, Guido will try to make a game of saving his son's innocence.

What a beautiful film, in the noblest sense! A film about love, devotion and abnegation that gets inside us and that cannot leave us indifferent.
Sweet home Alabama
2002, Reese Witherspoon, Patrick Dempsey, Dakota Fanning, 109 min
A young fashion designer from New York finds herself engaged to a very popular man, but since she is already married, she returns to Alabama to file a divorce with her childhood sweetheart. A journey back that will lead her to question her priorities and what she really wants in her life.

A movie with Dr. McDreamy? Oh yes! So we love him Patrick Dempsey! We really understand Reese Witherspoon to succumb, we would have done it too!
Ghost (My ghost of love)
1990, Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, 128 mins
Sam and Molly live the perfect love. One evening of a romantic walk, Sam is killed in front of his companion. Sam then becomes a ghost stuck on Earth who manages to communicate with a pseudo seer. Sam will then investigate his own death and try to communicate with Molly to discover his killer.
We watch this movie for the love story, for Patrick Swayze (again!),for the sensuality of the pottery (!) and for Whoopi Goldberg who is adorably funny. This film also put the romantic song Unchained Melody back on the charts, you can't listen to it without dreaming!

You've got mail
1998, Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, 119min
A businessman and a woman determined to save her business become friends over the internet. However, they do not know the true identity of their interlocutor and do not know that they know each other and do not like each other in their professional life.

This film was shot when the Internet was just beginning to enter our lives and we laugh when we see the computers and the functioning of emails of that time. Beyond, we discover a romantic story and a Meg Ryan that we all want as a friend.
Time traveller's wife
2008, Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, 107 min
From the book of the same name (the book is excellent!), we discover the truly special relationship of a woman and a man who has genes that make him travel through time in spite of himself. Henri meets Claire who will become his wife when she is only 6 years old and he is in his thirties. With his travels in time, we follow them in different stages of their lives.
Having read the book, I can confirm that it is better than the movie as is often the case because it has more details and more life scenes. However, the film succeedsgood at delivering the deep love relationship that this special couple has developed in somewhat special circumstances. Very romantic and touching.
The Vow
2012, Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, 104 minutes
After a car accident, Paige suffers from severe memory loss. Leo, Paige's husband, is doing everything he can to win back her heart.
We like the fact that the story is based on a true story.
Romeo & Juliet (Romeo + Juliet)
1996, Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Danes, 120 minutes
This version of Shakespeare's famous story of Romeo and Juliet is absolutely breathtaking! Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes will make you believe in impossible love.
The soundtrack of this film is exceptional.
