Are you looking for a cute way to celebrate this special day without breaking your heart? I suggest you serve a delicious dessert board filled with little sweet treats, each more delicious than the next.

In addition to looking simply sublime on your Valentine's Day table, this dessert will also be a great activity for cookie decoratingto do with the kids. Here, I call it "make your own dessert"!
The dessert board
I love serving cheese and charcuterie boards when I get home. So I said to myself that it was absolutely necessary to rethink this formula, but in a sweet version and really WOW.
I love the plank concept! Serving dessert on a board is a wonderful way to 1) serve everyone at the same time, 2) offer choices for all tastes, 3) dress up your party table, and 4) create a fun activity with the kids while feasting.
The plan
To make a nice thematic board, you need a minimum of organization. Indeed, it is not enough to put a few desserts on a serving board andto put this in front of your guests. Nenon. I rather like to see my board as a canvas on which I create a real sweet picture with accents of red and rosé. A masterpiece, what!
Ingredients
You guessed it right, the possibilities of a dessert board are endless! But to help you get started, I explain everything I put on mine.
I found most of my candy at BulkBarn and my neighborhood grocery store:
- Homemade cookies for cookie cutterheart-shaped;
- Pink cookies from the store;
- Mini Homemade Vanilla Cupcakes;
- Pretzels dipped in pink chocolate;
- Homemade or store-bought cream;
- Heart-shaped toppers;
- Pink Chocolate Marbles;
- Mouth shaped gummies;
- Strawberries (you still need some vitamins! Hihi);
- Pink cotton candy;
- Licorices
- Pink maple meringue (our homemade recipe HERE);
- White and red jelly heart;
Assembling the dessert board
I started with an element in the center of my beautiful board: my heart-shaped cookies. Then, I distributed my other items in small dishes or directly on the board.
The important thing for a successful dessert board is to place your elements gently and all around the main element in order to create a harmony of color while symmetry.
Youlike?
So there you go! Making a dessert board is not more complicated than that. Height of the sublime, you will make quite an effect with your little family! Here the kids had a blast decorating their own cookies with all the ingredients laid out so tantalizingly in front of them.
Happy Valentine's Day group!
