Because we all deserve a little romantic evening from time to time and Valentine's Day lends itself particularly well to it, I suggest ten places among my favorites to fill your belly with your well- loved!

The Factory
3619 Saint-Denis Street, 514 544-5038
If I had only one restaurant to recommend to you, I would choose this one without hesitation. It was my lover who made me discover it almost four years ago, and we never tire of going back there for an evening. If you love tartare, prepare to eat the best you'll ever taste here, and make sure you save room for their famous French toast (it's to die for!). Add to that a magnificent decor, a cozy atmosphere and attentive service; I guarantee you will want to go back!

GURU Indian Bistro
3464 Saint-Denis Street, 514 844-9777
When I want real good Indian food, I always go here. The butter chicken is decadent, the basmati rice perfectly flavored and the naan bread to die for. Let's say we're not going there foreat light, but, after all, you only live once, right? And with its pretty decor and some 25 seats, it's the perfect place for a one-on-one in complete privacy!

Pizzeria GEMA
6827, rue St-Dominique, 514 419-4448
Pizza for Valentine's Day? If it's Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione, absolutely! Concocted according to the rules of the art, garnished with quality ingredients, including charcuterie made on site, and cooked in a wood oven, it will warm your heart… and delight your stomach! Accompany everything with a good glass of wine and finish on a sweet note with homemade ice cream that is worth its weight in gold. Buon appetito!

Nori Sushi
2967 Sherbrooke Street East, 514 527-0000
Anyone who loves sushi, here is one of Rosemont–La Petite Patrie’s best-kept secrets. This very small restaurant, easy to miss for the uninitiated, offers, at a more than reasonable price, varied sushi, very generous and of very high quality. You'll also be happy to know that this is a BYOW!

Grumman '78
630, rue de Courcelle, 514 290-5125
If you want a more lively evening in a lively and trendy place, you will certainly fall in love with this restaurant located in a former mechanical garage! Tables made of wooden spools and pallets, large garage doors, pretty garlands of hanging lights, bites to share and tacos with all the sauces; here is the winning recipe for a dazzling evening!

Sumac
3618 Notre-Dame Street West, 514 935-1444
For a relaxed evening in the heart of the Saint-Henri district, the Sumac restaurant (which takes its name from a berry widely used in Middle Eastern cuisine) will take your taste buds on a journey at a low price. Here, no fuss: we order at the counter, then we sit at a table while waiting for the magic to happen. And believe me, it works: chicken shawarma, beef kefta, falafel, grilled pita, hummus, salads, homemade juice, everything is fresh and succulent!

As if by chance
244 Saint-Charles Street West, 450 679-9590
Nestled in a magnificent century-old house on Saint-Charles Street, in the heart of Old Longueuil, this French bistro is the perfect place for a romantic outing. On the menu: flank steak, hamburgers, mussels, tartars, homemade fries and more, all in a warm and inviting atmosphere!

Rustic Pie Kitchen
4615 Notre-Dame Street West, 514 439-5970
For a coffee and a little sweetness, Le Rustique will amaze your eyes… and your taste buds! From country pies and tarts to brownies, cakes and pastries of all kinds, including homemade marshmallows, you will see that everything is absolutely decadent! Note, however, that the doors close around 6 p.m., so comeeat your dessert first or grab some goodies to go!

Licked Desserts
640, rue de Courcelle, 514 303-2200
Finally, if you're more thinking of spending a quiet evening like “Netflix and chill”, I strongly suggest you take a quick trip to Léché Desserts beforehand. You can pick up simply mind-blowing donuts (cheesecake and raspberries, white chocolate mousse, boston cream, tiramisu, passion fruit, Baileys and so on) that will make your evening a guaranteed success!
