Passionate about skiing? The time to hit the slopes has finally arrived! But what do you do when your child is a little too young to accompany you on the snowy slopes?

Rejoice: most ski resorts have you covered! Indeed, many offer daycare services, which will allow you to do some descents while your child has fun with other toddlers of his age. However, be sure to check the website of the mountain you want to visit: some places do not accept children under two years old. In addition, expect to pay additional fees, and a little more if you do not provide lunch or snacks for your child.

Other stations have enhanced the offer for toddlers. Here is what we offer you in some Quebec ski resorts.

Mont Blanc

In the Laurentians, Mont Blanc is a resort that has thought of children. At the foot of the mountain is indeed an indoor amusement center, La Jungle Magique. You can accompany your child there, or take advantage of the childcare service, payable by the hour, day or half-day. From the age of three, children can take mini downhill skiing lessons here – and end their day on the slides and trampolines in the indoor park.

The Spa Mont Blanc is also located at the foot of the slopes. In addition to the various relaxation services, there is also a swimming pool where you can go swimming with the children.

Ski Saint-Bruno

For slightly older children who are getting used to having skis on their feet, Ski Saint-Bruno can be a destination of choice, with these outdoor "Fun Zones", such as the Enchanted Forest, where they can train at their leisure, under your supervision. Mascots and entertainment on site!

Mount Sutton

The Mont Sutton offers the Daycare-school formula, which allows children aged 2 to 5 to learn about board or downhill skiing during a one-hour lesson with a trained instructor. Afterwards, we will accompany him to the daycare, where he can indulge in crafts and various games with his boarding companions. All this while you hit the slopes at your leisure. A great way to let everyone enjoy their day.

Ski Montcalm

At Ski Montcalm, we also offer a drop-in daycare service, every weekend – and every day during the Holidays. Children must be over 18 months old and reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance, as places are limited.

The station also offerspossibility of going tube sliding, which is a good option to entertain the youngest while the older ones enjoy skiing. You can also enjoy a bit of the mountains and nature on snowshoes, since more than 13 kilometers of trails have been specially developed for this increasingly popular sport.

Stoneham

With its daycare service and its family zone, Stoneham prides itself on being a paradise for families in the mountains. On the one hand, access to the training slope, located on the learning ground, is free, as is its “magic carpet” lift service, perfect for budding skiers. Utility sledges that allow you to transport the family's equipment, but also babies, are also located everywhere on the site. And when the kids are ready to hit the mountain trails, there's plenty to cheer about, since many will suit them.

Daycare is available for children 12 months and older.

Mont Sainte-Anne

The garderie du Mont Sainte-Anne is located at the base of the mountain, near the gondola station. It welcomes children aged 6 months and over in a fun and safe environment, recently renovated. Many indoor and outdoor activities, a video room, a rest area and ski and snowboard lessons await your little ones. Something to plan a great day out with the family!

Tremblant

At Tremblant, you can enjoy thefamous pedestrian village with the youngest, while the older ones hurtle down the many slopes of the mountain. A little hot chocolate here, a snack there, we warm up by a wood fire and spend quality time together, outdoors (and in the shops).

Massif de Charlevoix

The reputation of the Massif de Charlevoix is second to none and ski enthusiasts love the mountains. The little ones will be delighted by the daycare service with entertainment (for ages 2 and up). You can also take the opportunity to introduce them to sliding sports with the Ski-Garderie CAMP IGOR formula, which includes a day at daycare with an hour of lesson. Lots of fun inside and out.
