Teenagers need to engage in activities that help them feel better. They may be interested in some of the following activities.

Relaxing Activities
Encourage them to do relaxing activities, such as reading, listening to music, going for walks or riding a bicycle. The key to success lies in the variety of activities.

Diary
Writing their thoughts and feelings in a diary can help some young people express what they are feeling. Encourage them to do so and respect their privacy!

Recreational Activities
Teenagers need to engage in activities that entertain them. Vigorous physical activity and sports help reduce stress and help you become more alert, energetic and in a better mood.

Volunteering
Volunteering helps young people become caring, confident and responsible. It will also help them adopt a positive attitude towards events. Suggest that they check with local volunteer organizations to find out if they can, for example, help elementary school studentsreading or doing homework, visiting the elderly in nursing homes or working in animal shelters or the organization of Special Olympics.

Fundraising
Holding a fundraiser (like a car wash) to help those in need is a way to redirect your worries, compassion, and energy in a positive way.
