This year again, sugaring off will unfortunately have to be celebrated at home due to the pandemic.

Never mind, the My Cabin at Home initiative will delight sweet-toothed and maple groves who see it as a great opportunity to celebrate this Quebec tradition in the comfort of our homes in complete safety.
The cabins of Quebec have responded in large numbers to the call of Stéphanie Laurin, president of the Quebec Sugar Shack Association and co-owner of the Chalet des érables, who offered them to take part this year in the group My cabin at home launched on February 22.
Nearly 70 sugar shacks and 196 pick-up points across Quebec are offering gourmet boxes this year containing maple dishes and products ready to eat at home.
How does it work?
STEP 1: Go to https://www.macabanealamaison.com/ to select a sugar shack near you.
Geolocate yourself and see which sugar shacks near you are participating in the initiative.
STEP 2: Order your gourmet boxes.
Each sugar shack offers a generous menu either traditional, gourmet, vegetarian, as the case may be, consisting of dishes to be reheated or readyto cook. The instructions will be carefully shared with you so you can enjoy yourself.
STEP 3: Choose pickup or delivery.
You can pick up your box directly at the shack, have it delivered to your home in certain cases, or pick it up at one of the 194 participating Metro and Metro Plus grocery stores that serve as pick-up points during sugaring-off season!
STEP 4: Set the mood at home and enjoy.
My cabin at home has thought of everything! Presented by Lafleur, a traditional show bringing together a whole roster of artists and captured in the woods will be accessible for webcasting via a unique link that you will receive when you order. So you can watch it whenever you want. My cabin at home has also prepared a musical selection for you to download to liven up the meal.
