March 22 marks World Water Day and Canadian Water Week runs from March 22-26. Two good reasons to teach our children the importance of staying hydrated with the best drink for their he alth, water.
Did you know there is a free, he althy and super fun challenge to encourage kids to drink more water? From March 22 to 26, we celebrate water in all CPEs, daycares and family daycares thanks to the Rigol’eau Challenge, an initiative of theCoalition Poids . Playful and educational material including promotional posters, activity kits and certificates to entertain children while teaching them the importance of drinking water, especially at lunchtime, are available at soifdesante. ca/cpe-garderie.
In 2020,700 educational childcare services were ready to participate in the Rigol’eau Challenge for a total of 40,000 toddlers!
This year, invite your CPE/daycare center to register for free by March 19, 2021 by filling out the following form. By registering, CPEs/daycare centers become eligible for the draw for numerous sets of cooking equipment. Price includes cutting boards, child-friendly wooden knives, water dispensers and more, including making flavored waters with kids.
Before the challenge, the daycare can hang posters everywhere to involve parents and consult the tools available to them to take up the challenge.
During the week, the educators will be able to organize the activities planned by the challenge in addition to offering a glass of water to each child to accompany their lunch so that everyone can do a Tchin-tchin.
On the last day of the challenge, each child will receive their personalized participation certificate that they can take home to continue practicing this good habit as a family. New in 2021
