The digestion of pregnant women and parents in a hurry is not always easy. Here are ten drinks that help with digestion.

Water
Water is the best drink for you hydration, that's why it helps transit if drunk during meal. If you have slow digestion and a heaviness in your stomach, you should drink it before and after meals to prevent it from diluting the enzymes you produce when you eat. The water also decreases nausea in many pregnant women, making it a very accessible solution even if it only provides temporary relief.

Sparkling mineral waters are very effective in aiding digestion. Rich in sodium, calcium and magnesium, they limit the feeling of heaviness that sometimes makes you regret a too good meal. However, because of their sodium content, they should not be abused during pregnancy.
Green tea
In traditional Chinese medicine, green tea is used to treat digestive disorders and to speed up the elimination of alcohol and other toxins. Studies have even shown that green tea helps burn body fat and contributes to weight loss. However, it is not necessarynot drink too much of it, especially if you have liver problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Herbal teas
Several herbal teas aid digestion after meals. Among the most effective are chamomile, thyme, sage, mint, verbena and star anise.
Vegetable juices
If you have eaten too much fat, vegetable juice will help you digest. If you have a juice extractor, concoct a carrot, cabbage, cucumber and radish juice. Drink them freshly squeezed if you want to get all the benefits. If you don't have a juicer, a simple carrot juice from the grocery store will do.
Coffee
The digestive effect of coffee depends on people. For many people, coffee taken at the end of a meal helps get the digestive system going, which is why many restaurants offer it with dessert. For others, and especially when it contains milk, it can cause bloating or nausea. It's up to you whether coffee helps you or not, but remember that moderation is your friend, especially if you're pregnant.
Tea
According to the British Medical Journal, drinking black tea is a more effective digestive than alcohol, but should not be drunk too hot to avoid damaging your esophagus.
Hot lemon water
Lemon cleanses the liver, provides vitamin C and helps digest fat. It also stimulates kidney activity and allows you to eliminate toxins moreeffectively. Combined with hot water, it gently stimulates your digestive system and hydrates you, plus it tastes great. Many women in early pregnancy use lemon water to reduce nausea. However, fresh lemon slices should be used, as bottled juice concentrate does not work as well.
Cola
It is true that colas can aid the digestion of certain foods when consumed in small amounts. However, regular and excessive consumption of this drink can damage the lining of the digestive tract. It is therefore a solution that works, but to be used with moderation.
Ginger ale
