Kinetic Sand
Ingredients
- Flour, preferably expired so as not to waste
- Oil (e.g. sunflower or rapeseed oil)
- A measuring cup
- A large mixing bowl
- A few drops of food coloring
Preparation
- Pour 8 cups of flour into the bowl
- Add a cup of oil
- Mix everything with your hands, until the sand is uniform

Colored Sand
Ingredients
- 8 cups flour
- 1 cup oil (vegetable or baby oil…both work well)
- Sidewalk chalk in different colors
- Some Ziploc type bags
Preparation
- Mix flour and oil to get a wet sand texture. The texture must make it possible to make relatively crumbly casts and castles. Adjust the amount of flour or oil as needed
- Divide the mixture into a fewZiploc type bags to create different colors
- Powder some sidewalk chalk and add a different color to each bag
- Shake bags to incorporate colors
- Use like sand with boilers, containers and molds
A few things
- Warning! This sand is a little greasy: only play on surfaces that wash well and don't forget to clean little hands well.
- The magic sand can be kept for a few weeks in an airtight container. You will see, it changes smell when it is time to throw it away.
- To easily color the sand, mix the oil and the coloring then add everything to the dry ingredients.
- Play on a cookie sheet with small edges. It will be easier to pick everything up.

Sand for modeling
Ingredients
- 2 cups of sand (found in stores)
- 1 cup cornstarch
- Water
Preparation
- Mix the sand and cornstarch
- Add the water, mixing well with your hands
- Be careful to use a scratch-proof container for mixing

Soft sand
Ingredients
- 200 g of sand
- 50g cornstarch
- 120 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of washing up liquid
- Colour of your choice
Preparation
- Pour the sand and cornstarch into a good
- Mix for a few minutes
- Add water and stir for another 2-3 minutes
- Add washing up liquid and keep stirring
- Remove the dough from the bowl and wait 2 hours

Moon sand with only two ingredients
Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour
- Baby oil
Preparation
- Add one cup of baby oil to eight cups of all-purpose flour
- Use a dough mixer or a whisk to mix well
Store moon sand in an airtight container. You will see, it keeps for a very long time.
