How well do you know our museums? If you can't remember the last time you set foot in one of them, I invite you to take advantage of International Canadian Heritage Day to fill up on discoveries!

Our beautiful province is full of countless museums, but since it would be impossible to name them all here, I share with you a few of my favorites instead!
Pointe-à-Callière
Montréal's Archeology and History Complex, Pointe-à-Callière allows its visitors to explore the bowels of Montréal's history through various relics dating back to the Amerindian period, as well as exploring the very first trunk sewer erected in North America! A multimedia show will also immerse you in the heart of the key events of our beautiful metropolis thanks to the fascinating story of six characters who will certainly charm you!
Young and old will also be able to slip into the shoes of an archaeologist for the time of a most complete simulated excavation going through the construction site, the tent and the laboratory space! Do you rather have sea legs? Discover Pirates orprivateers?, a fun and interactive exhibition that will fascinate the whole family! And don't leave without taking a look at the current temporary exhibitions, The Incas… it's Peru! and In the Chamber of Wonders, which will introduce you to the secrets of the Inca Empire and the fascinating world of cabinets of curiosities!
McCord Museum
Opened in 1921, this museum is the product of the vision of a passionate collector named David Ross McCord, who wanted to showcase the history and different cultures of his country. The McCord thus celebrates Montreal life from yesterday to today through its history, its people, its people and its communities, all through various immersive experiences.
You are therefore invited, until March 8, to jump into the world of board games with both feet thanks to its participative exhibition It's up to you! Larger than life board games. Designed especially for children aged 3 to 9 and their parents, it will amaze you with its some 180 toys and board games and its highly interactive course, which will allow you to try out a whole range of giant games and many challenges!
Montreal Science Center
A veritable Mecca of science and technology, the Montreal Science Center is betting, through numerous fascinating permanent and temporary exhibitions, to make the world of science more accessible to its visitors. Interaction is therefore always at the heart ofits exhibitions, which allows young and old alike not only to see, but also to touch, feel and "live" science fully!
The new temporary Space Travel exhibition, which will be on display until September 7, will introduce you to the daily life of astronauts and answer a host of existential questions such as: How do they do to wash yourself? To go to the toilet? To work in their bulky spacesuit? You can also, among other things, control a robotic arm, feel the effects of the disorientation of weightlessness, launch a rocket, enter a life-size reproduction of the Destiny laboratory of the International Space Station, see what you would look like on Mars, and more!
Museum of Civilization
The Musée de la civilization de Québec is a host of exhibitions highlighting different aspects of our society and our popular culture from yesterday to today. With its varied and changing themes, it always offers something new to eat, and that's what keeps us coming back!
Right now, you can explore the impact of the digital revolution on our lives in all its practicality, but also in its most frightening and destabilizing aspects. Robots, Data, Surveillance, Privacy; you will see how much digital is part of our daily lives in La tête dans le cloud! The most nostalgic can also dive back into the world ofBroue while discovering the behind the scenes of this cult play, from its context of creation to the stage, accessories, costumes and original sets included! Finally, Venenum, a poisoned world will immerse you in the universe of different poisons which have always aroused fear and fascination and which have played many roles of great importance in history and culture, science and beliefs, medicine and criminology. !
Canadian Children's Museum
If there is one museum that you absolutely must visit with your children, it is definitely the Canadian Children's Museum of Gatineau! Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Museum of History, it will take you on a great journey around the world, from Pakistan to Thailand, via India, Indonesia, Mexico, Egypt, Japan, and so on!
Explore the pyramids, ride a camel, become a ship pilot or a crane operator, work on building a house, put on various traditional costumes, try origami, barter in a market, become a chef, pastry chef or waiter in a café, there is nothing you can't try! I can even guarantee that your children will have so much fun that they won't want to leave!
With that, enjoy exploring!
