Your kids will happily leave behind their video games to create this adorable Mario figure! A few basic items you probably have at home will be enough to help them make it.

The material and the template
To start, you need a roll of toilet paper, a medium ball of polystyrene, white, red and brown pipe cleaners and shapes cut out of cardboard, which will be used for the cap, its visor and the ears.
First, outline the overalls and legs with a pencil. Then cut out the crotch.

Painting the rooms
Paint the character's neck, shoulders, back, cap and visor red, and the overalls blue.
Paint the polystyrene ball in "flesh" color by mixing yellow and white with a drop of red paint as well as the cardboard ears.

Assembling the pipe cleaners
Cut out two pieces of white and red pipe cleaners. Fold the red pipe cleaners in half. Make hands with the white pipe cleaners. Use two brown pipe cleaners that will be used for shoes and make a circle and solder themby twisting the edges.

Mario's cap
Take your red painted cap shape and make a white circle in the middle. Then, using a red marker, draw Mario's "M".

Figure Assembly
Assemble the hands to the arms by gluing them with a glue gun. Make a cut with a knife on the roll of toilet paper to slip the arms into it. Glue the shoes to the bottom of the roll and glue the cap and visor to the polystyrene ball.

Mario's face
Take a light pink playmais ball and stick it on the polystyrene as a nose. Draw the eyes, eyebrows, mustache and mouth with paint and felt-tip pen.
Finally, glue the ears to the ball, and finish by gluing the head to the body! Voila, you have a super Mario!
